Chami Automotive Inc. (“Chami Automotive,” “we,” “us”) operates chamiautomotive.com and communicates with customers by phone, email, text message (SMS/RCS), and chat, including chat through Google Search and Google Maps. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you give us. When you request an estimate, schedule service, apply for a job, or contact us through our website, by phone, or by message, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, mailing address, and the details of your request.
Vehicle and service information. To perform repairs, body work, restorations, and performance services, we collect information about your vehicle, such as year, make, model, VIN, mileage, condition, photos, and service history.
Messaging and chat information. When you message us - including through the chat feature on Google Search and Maps - we receive the contents of your messages, your phone number or profile name, and message timestamps. Some chat conversations may be answered first by an automated AI assistant that uses our business information to respond to common questions. Our staff can review these conversations to assist you and to improve our service. Anything the automated assistant tells you about pricing or availability is general information, not a binding quote.
Payment information. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full credit or debit card numbers on our systems.
Website usage information. Like most websites, our site may collect standard technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, and approximate location, through cookies and similar analytics tools.
We use the information we collect to provide estimates and perform the services you request; schedule and confirm appointments; respond to your questions and messages; coordinate with your insurance company on collision and body repairs, with your authorization; send service updates, such as when your vehicle is ready; keep records required for warranty, accounting, and legal purposes; and improve our website and customer service.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
By texting us, messaging us through Google, or providing your phone number and asking us to contact you, you consent to receive messages from us about your inquiry, estimate, or service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP. Opting out of messages does not affect any service you have scheduled with us; we will contact you by phone or email instead.
We share information only as needed to run our business: with service providers that help us operate (such as Google for messaging and business listings, our website host, payment processors, and scheduling or record-keeping software); with parts suppliers and specialty vendors when necessary to complete your repair; with your insurance company or claims adjuster, in connection with a claim you have authorized; and when required by law, such as responding to a lawful subpoena, or to protect our legal rights, including enforcement of repair and storage charges.
We keep customer and vehicle records as long as needed to serve you and to meet warranty, tax, and legal record-keeping requirements. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, but no system is completely secure.
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we have about you, request a correction, or request deletion of information we are not legally required to keep. You can opt out of marketing or text communications at any time.
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Messages sent through Google chat are also subject to Google’s own privacy policy and terms. Our website may link to third-party sites; their privacy practices are their own.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Continued use of our website or messaging channels after an update means you accept the revised policy.
